A Chicago Style Hot Dog is a steamed (not boiled) all beef Hot Dog topped with yellow mustard, bright green relish, onions, tomato wedges, pickle spear or slice, sport peppers and a dash of celery salt served in the all-important steamed poppy seed bun.

There is a VERY important rule for the Chicago hot dogs... NO KETCHUP.. seriously to them you might as well throw it away.. Most restaurants refuse to put ketchup on the hot dog for you and is available only upon request.. I would guess that some don't even offer it period.
